As you read this email, Governor Cuomo and his staff are planning out what Cuomo will focus on in his “State of the State” speech in January 2018.
Right now, we can push Cuomo to make visionary climate action the star of the State of the State address by flooding his office with calls. Join the last NY Renews statewide call-the-Governor day of 2017.
Call today by dialing 518-241-4793. You’ll hear a brief recorded message with instructions before being connected to the Governor’s office. (Hear it in Spanish by dialing (518) 941-8090.)
To be a true climate leader, Governor Cuomo has to commit to two things in his State of the State:
- Getting New York to 100% renewable energy by getting the Climate and Community Protection Act passed in 2018
- Holding corporate polluters accountable for the damage they cause our health and state.
We need all hands on deck to make it clear that the State of the State will fall flat without these concrete commitments to protect New Yorkers from climate change.
In the last NY Renews call-in day in November, over 700 amazing New Yorkers called the Governor’s office. Today, on the final call-in day for 2017, we can hit 1,000 – please forward this email to your friends and family and invite them to make the call, too. Thanks for calling and supporting the campaign!
