URGENT! ACTION NEEDED: CENTRAL HUDSON IS TRYING TO RAISE OUR UTILITY RATES!

Central Hudson recently submitted a new rate plan to the Public Service Commission (PSC) that could potentially raise our utility rates by up to 12% and increase the basic service charge—the amount you pay no matter how much energy you use. Central Hudson’s fixed charge is already the highest in the state, and with a high fixed charge the people who use the least amount of energy end up subsidizing the customers who use the most.

It’s time to make our voices heard! Tell the PSC:

  • NO CENTRAL HUDSON RATE HIKE! Put people before profits.
  • REDUCE THE “FIXED” CHARGE! People who use less energy should pay less.
  • HOLD MORE PUBLIC HEARINGS on the Central Hudson rate case!
Fill out the online form and a postcard will be hand-written for you. Citizens for Local Power (CLP) will deliver the postcards to the PSC in-person at their meeting on the 18th. Let’s urge the PSC to help make it a Happy New Year for ALL of us with more affordability, fairness, and voices heard.
